Slate + Club Recovery Training Opportunities.

Slate, in partnership with Club Recovery, offers a variety of clinical training opportunities for graduate students in professional psychology and addiction studies as well as early career professionals seeking hours for licensure. Positions offered:

Practicum Positions 

  • Master’s (LPC, LPCC, Dual-track LPCC/LADC) students in counseling and clinical psychology programs.

  • Doctoral (PhD, PsyD) students in counseling or clinical psychology programs. 

  • LADC students in addiction studies programs. 

Fellowship Positions

  • Post-Doctoral Fellowship. Individuals who have earned their PhD or PsyD and need to earn their hours for licensure.

  • Post-Master’s Fellowship. Individuals who have earned their master’s degree in counseling or clinical psychology and need to earn their hours for licensure. Includes individuals who have completed dual-track LPCC/LADC programs.

 
 

Training Model and Philosophy

Slate, in collaboration with Club Recovery, is committed to facilitating trainee’s personal and professional growth through engagement in supportive and stimulating supervision and mentoring relationships. The training curriculum follows a developmental-relational model that is tailored to the needs of each trainee. Areas of focus for training include clinical and case conceptualization skills, multicultural competency, professional clinical documentation, multidisciplinary collaboration, professional identity development, and enhancing self-awareness as a therapist.

The staff is invested in creating a warm and collegial culture, with a strong commitment to an open-door policy, which affords opportunities to trainees to consult with our multidisciplinary staff.

Typical Clinical Tasks

  • Individual Mental Health Therapy

  • Diagnostic Assessments

  • Group Therapy 

  • Consultation

  • Individual Supervision with Primary and Secondary Supervisors
